Syndey Jones

Ensemble Dancer 

Sydney Jones, originally from Westmont, IL, is a dancer,
choreographer, and educator. She began her training at the
Center for Dance and was a part of their competition
company for many years. She attended the Chicago
Academy for the Arts for high school where she worked
with teachers and choreographers such as Randy Duncan,
Nick Pupillo, and Lizzie Mackenzie. She graduated
magna cum laude with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in jazz
dance from Point Park University, where she worked with
choreographers including Aszure Barton, Kiesha Lalama,
and Colleen Hooper. After graduating, she began dancing
with South Chicago Dance Theatre, where she was
thrilled to work with Kia Smith, Monique Haley, August
Tye, and Crystal Michelle Perkins, among others. As a
choreographer, her work has been presented at New
Dances, Trifecta Dance Festival, and Simantikos Choreo
Kick-Off. Additionally, she won Inaside’s choreographic
competition in 2021 and will be setting a piece on the
company. She also teaches and choreographs all around
the Chicagoland area. She is so grateful to begin her first
season with Inaside Chicago Dance!
